SUPPLICATORY ACROSTIC ON “AHAM-SAQAKU”

MEDIATION THROUGH “AHAM SAQAKU” (AT-TAWASSUL BI “AHAM SAQAKU”)
التَّوسل بِأَهَمُ سَقَكُ

ا
إلى الله أشكوا ما ألاقى من الشكوىٰ * فلا وزرا أرجو سواه ولا مأوىٰ

Alif:
Ilā-Llahi ashkū mā ulāqī mina-sh shakwā * falā wazarān arjū siwāhu walā ma’wā

Alif:
To Allah I lodge my complaints for all the problems that I encounter.
And there is no burden or place of rest I hope for other than it.



ه
همومى إلى مولاي أرجوا انفراجها * ففقري إلى مولاي في الجهر والنجوىٰ

Ha:
Ḥumūmī ilā maulāya arjū-nfirājahā * fa-faqrī ilā maulāya fī-l jahri wa-n najwā

Ha:
I hope from my Lord relief from my worries.
For my neediness of my Lord is both hidden and apparent.


م
مقالى و حالى يجئران لفاقتى * و يقوىٰ رجائى حين عن غيره يطوىٰ

Mīm:
Maqālī wa ḥālī yaj’arāni li-fāqatī * wa yaqwā rajā’ī ḥīna ‘an gayrihi yaṭwā

Mīm:
My words and state correspond to my destitution.
And my hopes are strengthened when they are hidden from other than Him.



س
سألتك ياكافى العبيد بأسرها * بأن تحسن العقبىٰ وأن ترفع اليلوىٰ

Sīn:
Sa’altuka yā Kāfī-l ‘abīdi wa-asrihā * bi-an tuḥsina-l ‘uqbā wa ‘an tarfa‘a-l balwā

Sīn:
I have asked You, Oh You who suffice all slaves.
That You make good the results and lift my affliction.



ق
قدير قدير يا إلٰهى وإننى * فقير ضعيف أشك شكوىٰ أخى شكوىٰ

Qāf:
Qadīru Qadīru yā Ilāhī wa innanī * faqīrun ḍa’īfun ashku shakwā akhī shakwā

Qāf:
You are Able. You are Able, Oh my God! And indeed, I..
Am needy and weak. I express my grief with problem after problem.



ك
كفانى كفانى إن مددت يديتى * إلى الحضرة العليا وأنحوا لها نحوا

Kāf:
Kafānī Kafānī in madadtu yudayyatī * ilā-l ḥadrati-l ‘ulyā wa an’hū lahā naḥwā

Kāf:
Sufficient for me! Sufficient for me is my stretching out my hands..
Towards the Exalted Presence and turn myself towards it.




على المصطفى المنصور أزكى صلاته * مع الآل والأصحاب ماأكثر الجدوىٰ

‘Alā-l:
'alā-l Muṣtafā-l Manṣūri azkā ṣalātihi * ma’a-l āli wa-l aṣ’hābi mā akthara-l jadwā

Alā-l:
Upon the Chosen One, who was given Victory (be) the Purest of Prayers.
Along with his family and companions as long as benefits are multiplied.

PETITION FOR HELP THROUGH THE LETTERS OF THE GREATEST GRAND NAME (ISTIGHĀTHA ‘ALĀ ḤURŪF AL-ISM AL-A‘AẒAM AL-KABĪR)
إستغاثة على حروف الإسم الأعظم الكبير"اهم سقك حلع يص"

ا
أسألك اللّٰهم يارحمان * ويا مهيمن ويا منان

Alif:
As’aluka Allahumma yā Rahmānu * wa yā Muhayminu wa yā Mannānu

Alif:
I ask You, oh Allah oh All-Merciful!
Oh Overseer! Oh You who grants Blessings.


ه
هب لِىَ فى الظهر مناء قلبى * ولتغفرن يا ربِّ كل ذنبى

Hā:
Habliya fī-ẓ ẓahri munā’a qalbī * wa li-tagfiran yā Rabbi kulla dhanbī

Hā:
Grant me, outwardly, the desire of my heart
And, oh my Lord, forgive me every sin.



م
ملكا كبيرا بغتة و فيضا * ولترفعن بالبسط هذاالقبضا

Mīm:
Mulkān kabīrān bagtatan wa fayḍā * wa li-tarfa’an bi-l basṭi hādhā-l qabḍā

Mīm:
(Grant me) A great, astonishing dominion and divine outpouring.
And lift this contraction with expansion.



س
سَلِّمْ إلٰهى ديننا و سددا * أقوالنا و فعلنا وأيِّدا

Sīn:
Salim Ilāhī dīnanā wa saddidā * aqwālanā wa fi’ilanā wa ayyidā

Sīn:
Our God! Protect our Religion. And make firm..
our speech and actions. And assist us,..



ق
قهرا او صولة على الأعداء * وشددت عليهم بأساء

Qāf:
Qahrān aw sawlatan ‘alā-l a’adā-i * wa shaddidan ‘alayhimu ba’sā-i

Qāf:
..By subjugating or defeating our enemies.
And intensify upon them suffering



ك
كف العدا و زللن أركانهم * ولتولنا من بعدهم مكانهم

Kāf:
Kuffa-l ‘idā wa zalzilan ar’kānahum * wa li-tūlinā min ba’adihim makānahum

Kāf:
Ward off enmity and shake their foundations.
And give us, after them, in their place..



ح
حصنا حصينا منك ياحفيظ * وافعل بنا ما للعدا يغيظ

Ḥā:
Ḥisnān ḥasīnān minka yā Hafīẓu * waf-‘al binā mā lil-‘idā yugīẓu

Ḥā:
..An impenetrable fortress from You, Oh Protector.
And treat us in such a way that our enemies will hate.



ل
لطفا وعونا منك يالطيف * ولترفع الهَمَّ الذى يطيف

Lām:
Luṭfān wa ‘awnān minka ya Laṭīfu * wa li tar’fa-‘il hamma-l ladhī yuṭīfu

Lām:
Grant us a gentle mercy and assistance from You, Oh Gently Merciful.
And remove the burdens that we are bearing.




ع
عالم حالى وَ خَفِيَ أمرى * فَبَدِلَنْ باليسر كُلَّ العُسْرِ

‘Ayn:
‘Ālima ḥālī wa khafiya amrī * fabaddilan bi-l yusri kulla-l ‘usri

‘Ayn:
Oh Knower of my state and my hidden affair
And exchange every difficulty for ease.



ي
يا من أردت بالدعا فأجب * و عَجِّلِ الفرج قبل التعب

Yā:
Yā man arad-ta bi-du’ā fa-ajibi * wa ‘ajjili-l faraja qabla-t ta’abi

Yā:
Oh You who willed this supplication! Respond..
..and hasten relief before we become weary.



ص
صَلِ أيا رَبِّ و سَلِّمْ أبدا * على النَبِىِّ الهاشمىِّ أحمدا

Ṣād:
Ṣalli ayā Rabbi wa sallim abadā * ‘alā-n nabiyyi-l hāshimiyyi Aḥmadā

Ṣād:
Bless, Oh my Lord, and send salutations forever..
..upon the Hashim Prophet Ahmad


حقّ قدره و مقداره العظيم
Ḥaqqa qadrihi wa miqdārihi-l ‘aẓīm
In accordance to his worth and immense grandeur
